About

This is my journal. In it, you will find a cornucopia of writings which frame my perspective on technology, the world, and what happens when the two intersect.

Some background on me: I am a life-long resident of Toledo, Ohio. I currently reside in Point Place, a typical suburban area surrounded by water on the North-Eastern tip of the city. I have a day job as a systems administrator for a financial company. Since 2005, I have had a night job teaching in the School of Technology at Owens Community College. I’ve worked in IT since I was 18, and have been fascinated by computers and the Internet since well before then.

Over the years, I’ve come to muse quite a bit about how technology has affected my life, as well as the lives of others, for better or worse. In an effort to collect some of my thoughts on these issues, I coded a php/MySQL-based “blog” in late 2007, which I updated irregularly for a few years with sundry thoughts and lengthy essays. In February 2010, I moved all my content to a WordPress account, seeking a more regular update frequency. Time has yet to tell whether or not this move was a good one.

I maintain a personal web site at www.seannestor.com, which you can visit if you feel so inclined.
